    pull out the long studs-stud tools works best, but can be successful with jamming up double nuts...depending how tight they are might use some heat if real tight take it to a machine shop and have them bore the upper case in a mill with a boring head simple operation for any machine shop $60-90...

    as long as you have good hose water pressure you'll be fine yes it will flush both cylinders 550/440 engines have a very open cylinder water jacket their all connected as one

    with the diagram you posted put the flush fitting 'T'd in between the rear head outlet and the bottom of the headpipe line

    always run identical carbs use 2 carbs with pumps on them round body carbs are very sensitive to pop off settings must be set the same if the carbs wont run rich at 1 1/2 turns out on the high screw you need to drill the high speed jet plug bigger

    yes that works for race skis not for aggressive freestyle you cant run small low jets when doing multiple combos or more than a few backflips in a row throttle response goes too lean

    he might just be ok if he uses the limited chamber and doesn't under prop it stock cdi limiter is about 6900-6950 rpm if he props it about 6700-6750 rpm will be fine for now
