a msd enhancer retards timing with rpm
so yes advance the stock stator w/stock cdi about 3/16 in
but when you put on a hi comp head get the enhancer
because freezing the sleeve only gets you .001 smaller and when you put it in, it starts cooling the alum cylinders really fast=shorter working time
at 400* the cylinder will grow plenty, about .012 to .014 thou

o-ringing a stock head is asking for failure.
2nd, even with milled heads you can't control squish clearance/msv very well when the Yamaha OEM headgasket is .052 compressed *
just buy a ADA head setup for a yamaha

If it is in fact a 6mm stroker crank, the bore would be 82mm and come out to 781cc to be a legal cc limit in the 785 cc racing class.
Pulling off the head would be simple to measure the bore and see if the info makes sense.
