If you want to try a fun surf trip goto the very North tip of Tinian with a beat up board and some good booties. On the right day it is killer to surf. It's a smaller wave but damn fun and way sketchy. I got to surf it a couple of times. Here's the 2005 Google Earth picture of the spot.
Ooopss Yes Ylig Bay. I windsurfed Pago alot and yup it would be fun on a ski. I was thinking about Mt. Santa Rosa when I typed Yigo. From what I have seen it is a lot more friendly now with a lot more people on the water. When I was there it was pretty sketchy at Pago and Ylig. My buddy...
Here's an old old pic of Merizo (Malleso) Red Bouy on a mid size day. I would think the left at Yigo Bay would be fun to ride as well if you could find a way to put in the water...maybe at the cemetary on the south side at high tide? Isn't there a small boat ramp somewhere near Yigo Bay...
I lived on Guam and graduated from UOG back in 1997. My avatar pic is actually Saipan in 2002. The surf spots on Guam I can say are down right sketchy for the most part. Take a Hawaii Pipe Line type break and then make it really shallow. I remember lots of paddling with my arms out to the...
I have used Auto-Air paint with a 2 part clearcoat on 4 skis and it looks good and holds up nicely. Regardless of what paint you use prep the ski very well. Mineral spirit washdown and maybe a MEK washdown as well to get any oils, wax etc of the surface.

Before I had heart surgery I did a lot of cave exploring all around the world and had an orange reflective "speleopower" sticker I put on one of my caving lights. In 1995 or '96 I had to choose an email so the first thing that came to mind was the sticker on my light-cause it was sitting on my...
wow! Not good. Probably time for a rebuild. Isn't 125 compression kinda low? Or maybe should have just ran away and let the engine explode and then rebuild.
wide open throttle to dump cool gas into the cylinder or pump gas in via a primer if you have one, press stop and start switch at the...
I would prefer one of these to a ski. I have been surfing since I was a little kid but after I had heart surgery at age 32 it became very painful to lay out flat on my chest on a surfboard and even more painful to paddle due to shoulder damage from being opened up. My Superjet has allowed me...
Those pictures are scary. I have been in the intensive care unit one time for heart surgery. My Dad took a picture of me in there but I had him destroy it because it was to scary so look at.
Get well!
I have been using a little dielectric grease and putting a thin layer of it on the gasket and around the rubber wire boot where it enters the flywheel cover. I then put some in an around the wires on the outside. This seems to stop all water from getting in. I took mine apart for the first...
Mine was doing this a couple weeks ago. It started doing this after getting rolled by a wave. Ran fine then didn't run past idle. I thought maybe water in the gas but nope...no water.
When were your carbs fully rebuilt? Have you checked for an engine airleak?
I ended up pulling the...
I've surfed some crazy huge waves when I lived on Guam and Saipan and when there is rocks around it's no joke. I think the video is pretty cool and it looks like a lot of fun to ride. One of the last big surf sessions I had while on Guam some tourist dude had his femur broken from getting...
I really like the perspective more so than the backpack and helmet cam.
TJ post a pic of the camera mount.
Josh-It probably would not hurt the ski other than a few scratches if it broke apart by hitting the nose hard into the sand. Your more likely to get hurt by the pole and supports if you...
