    It has nothing to do with being hard to do... everyone in the industry has pumped all of these crazy hp numbers into everyones heads in order to sell their product. They don't want to show the results and admit they aren't making the power everyone thought.

    Sorry apparently I was wrong I could have swore I saw it somewhere that he was away. As for the cases I meant don't mess with grinding on them as someone else said earlier. Glad he took care of it. You will be back riding in no time.

    Don't mess with a brand new set of oem cases. It's 99.9% likely an sbt issue. Oem Yamaha parts even castings arejust not that far off. Talk to Chris before you do anything he will help get to the bottom of this. I think he's at the rip and ride now so be patient if you can't get in touch w him

    I stand corrected I didnt realize there was that much difference in sj hulls over the years. I will say this, if the face of the manifold and the chamber do not mate perfectly you will melt the o rings and the coupler will split. I had a slight misalignment and it lasted 5-6 hrs before splitting...

    It almost looks like your gap is at the top of the manifold and the outside agains the hull. Are you following the directions with the pipe? did you glue in the foam blocks they send with the pipe? It almost looks like your trying to lay it on the bottom of the hull. If this is the case by...

    I'm confused as to why your having a problem at all. I have a stock 08 RN hull and it fits with a ton of room. GIL had one in a Pre 08 SJ and didnt have a problem either.

    Same thing happened to me. That area is not solid by any means. The water jacket extends further into that thick boss are than everyone thinks.
