Whats the deal with footwells in 550s?

I did diggers on one of my 550's. Work fine, there's nothing more complicated to it than putting them on a superjet, in fact they're easier.one of the best upgrades for a ski by FAR. Just don't screw up and waterlog ur tray. Make sure the footholds are perfectly air tight. Get u some -- -epoxy...

Aquamoto i want to race. want to help?

An fx1 has a far forward pope mount, very jumpy. I'd rather race a built 550.

Aquamoto i want to race. want to help?

Then again, you never compete nowadays with a square or older round anyway lol

Aquamoto i want to race. want to help?

I'd take a fx1 over a square or round any day for recreation. Racing? Hell no.

Aquamoto i want to race. want to help?

Racing an fx1 is still a terrible idea. Maybe for fun, but usually u want to win lol. A fx1 is not a buoy ski by any means. Even if in your opinion it handles good on the buoys, and it does, I've ridden plenty. But racing a fx1 is a lot like racing a 550. Just not anything serious.

You can't really race a fx1, especially stock! You would endanger the other racers lol, like a floating rock that they have to try and avoid!

SN and pre 2008 RN. What's the big difference?

Yeh, understood ^ I'm with you there. 6m6 engines are fun, 61x are fine, 62t 61x are awesome, all of the above have good power and are fun when ported, but the 6m6 and 61x in the end just don't compare to the 62t 61x engines.

SN and pre 2008 RN. What's the big difference?

That's what I've been told, maybe the bond rail handles different? And pole placement probibly makes it a little less snappy and more stable.. Question answered. Lots of good info

    Don't forget to re-jet though.

SN and pre 2008 RN. What's the big difference?

If you're coming from kawis, as am I, a stock 650 superjet has a FAR better power to weight ratio then a stock 650sx kawi. And a 701 swap will only yeild around 12 HP. 650's are FINE dude, just do a sport port on it, high comp head, pipe, air filter, and you're good to go. A lot more HP then a...

SN and pre 2008 RN. What's the big difference?

When I rode a friends 01' rn, it definetly felt lighter, carving was a bit more difficult then on the square, even a all stock square to a all stock rn, I feel the square has better handling characteristics.

I'm somewhat with you there. Take into account that almost every other Sn is waterlogged though lol

SN and pre 2008 RN. What's the big difference?

I'm wondering what the huge difference is between a Sn superjet, and a pretty 2008 older style round nose. Ice got a really nice Sn superjet hull, was defoamed, and defoamer with cut up foam blocks, re glasses entire tray, footholds, glass on free ride tubbies, rei forced engine compartment with...

The "why the hell is he doing this" build

Buy some knock off freestyle tubbies for a superjet or something so u can mock them up. They work great. Mine on my 550 conversion were two inches wide. And for the little while I had that thing together, man it popped!
