I guess the theory behind it isn't as important as just running what needs to be ran. I would orings reguardless what the compression sealer surface is. It is grooved to run o rings, run them or you would need a head gasket. With would not make it an o-ring head. Just thinking aloud here with ya

I just used never-seize the silver stuff on all my superjet hardware. I have used this grease called superlube and it works good on areas that aren't exposed to frequent water. It will wash out over time from what i've been told. but just my 2 cents. I would like to know the ultimate thing....
Hey guys I am looking for a roundnose midshaft. just the shaft. I have some aftermarket couplers to put in my SN SJ and the SN midshaft is a different thread size. So I just need the RN midshaft to put in my bearings. Let me know what you have. - Thanks Tanner
This boat is gonna like bein upside down... I can feel it. Ill throw down on my Sn then hop on this thing and be off to the moon!! BTW I re-inforced the nose and sprayed primer. thats it, this is the ol' mans baby. As was my SN mine. It looks better in person too.

yep I used a band saw and then cleaned it up with a flap disk wheel, got it tigged and then polished it. I milled out the spot where my pole latch goes and milled so my bolts cleared the welds. and milled the rubber cable guard hole thinner to except the rubber
