    Other Gel Coat Repair

Sorry, tapatalk didn't tell me about all these replies! I assumed it's epoxy because of the color. Aren't polyester resins usually greenish...? The color has also faded a lot over 23 years, so using the original pigment isn't very useful or worth the hassle in my opinion.

    Other Gel Coat Repair

So this question is for my boat. Previous owner let the swim platform rub on the dock for years I guess and the gel coat is worn to the fiber glass on both corners. Other What did you fab up today? A thread for the home fabricators!

Other What did you fab up today? A thread for the home fabricators!

Damn, my 1989 F150 with 5.0 gets 13-14 mpg usually; 11 mpg recently hauling 3000 pounds to Maryland... Now my Dad's 85 F250 with a 460- that truck got 6 mpg no matter what, like how you described your V10. And it was just as fun to drive, too!

What's your view look like today?

Rebuilt one engine for our boat and swapped it last month. Yesterday I finally took the stock iron manifold off the other engine and put a matching aluminum one on. Still got to finish putting the cooling system back together, but the hard part is done.

Took the engine out and left the foam in. It was Swiss cheese and a ton of work to recover! I actually still use the starter from that ski in mine, four years later...!
