We use the Rubbermaid Roughneck 18 gallon totes and they hold up really well. We have about 600 of them full of larger parts, around 12,000 parts, and very few issues. Smaller parts are in wax boxes you can see on the left in this pic of one aisle...
Good idea, but it seems you would need to run 2 selector valves, one would switch your fuel pickup to the old oil tank, the other would switch the return line from the main tank to the oil tank.
That sucks man! Might be able to fix it pretty cheap, I rebuilt my 07, bought it as a total loss 4 years ago. Works hard every day, 355,000 miles on the clock. Picked up a nice deal in the bed yesterday, ready for the Carolina Beach Freeride!
No way, probably $7-8000 would be more accurate...but the well is a gamble on how far they drill, or if they even hit water the first time. City utilities are nice because you don't have to worry about running dry or maintenance issues...
I made one for a Kawasaki since those ones have a brass nut and are a pain. Easy to do, I just took a deep socket of the right size and welded a piece of pipe to the side to use as a handle. The cable goes through the 1/2" square hole in the back of the socket and it works great!
