Partial clog or flaked debris in the reserve pickup? Little piece of thin plastic in the tank? That could move ever so slightly based on fuel movement in the tube. I would back flush the pickups to be sure its clear. It might not be a bad idea to check the switch itself for less than optimal...
What @speedysprocket said. That way you can get nearly all of the water out in a few seconds. While you mock those who can submarine!! Oh wait ... So just that first part. :rolleyes:
I also have a manual switch on my bars. The auto switches that work in the bouncy often weightless environment...
