    650SX/X2 build

That's for the best. There's no performance benefits and the time you save accessing the motor will never make up for the amount of work to modify the hull. I wouldn't recommend the job unless you were doing it for some other reason. For me it was like a class project at homeschool. I learned a...

    650SX/X2 build

This is where my project time went starting 2016 which is why I stopped working on the X2. https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/baby-jet.179924/

    650SX/X2 build

Yes and no. I did complete the hood, it did all work, I did ride it. Water did come in the hood around the back of the seal, on the left and right most parts on the last picture I posted. It was a tolerable situation. The steering worked fine with that cable. I still have the hull and it still...

Looking for a quality garage cart - Who makes a good cart?

My ski is sitting on my scissor stand. If I needed a rolling shop cart, I'd just make a cart for that.

If you could go back in time and assist yourself buy your first ski, what advice would you give?

Buy a Superjet. Stick to bolts ons. Ride as much as possible.

Fuel line for a Yamaha WaveBlaster 1

I second the OEM fuel line. I believe JetManiac also now offers the same quality in 1/8" primer diameter and OEM quality cooling line. It's not just the fuel that is the problem. The clear cooling lines harden too.

Has anyone tried 3d printing a hull?

The Kinect is not really supported by Xbox in new games despite Microsoft pushing them very hard for a while. That means there are still plenty around with no real use. I got mine for free. You only need a USB adapter which is about $25. I used the Microsoft scan app for free...

Has anyone tried 3d printing a hull?

I'm a hack and I'm going to answer you as a hack. I'm not sure about your budget situation since you have no problem throwing away hulls. It would be easy to drop $1-2k in materials to build 1 hull so the idea of that being disposable is a bit outside of the realm of the methods I am willing to...

    X2 750 swap

The best bet is 650 pipe and just be happy with it. I believe the most power per fitment is an opened up westcoast manifold, FPP head pipe and superjet mod chamber with a Superjet (or other left -> right flow) going to a B1 exhaust outlet. I did the Superjet waterbox and was happy. Went back to...

    XL760 dash computer

I have a friend with an XL760 and the computer seems to be dead. I know these are hard to come by and when you can find them they are either just as old or very expensive. He said he can jump the brown and red wire and start the ski. What is the best way to deal with this issue these days. My...

    Kawasaki 650 X2

There is a lot of information in the X2 section. You should spend some time there. If you stick with the 650 motor, then there are a lot of 650 pipes that are compatible with the hull. Keep it simple. Stick with what has been designed to fit. It is best to go with a waterbox made for the X2...

    89 X2 with a 750 small pin, Sudco blue 42mm Help?

Buy genuine carb parts. I bought SBT rebuild kits and couldn't get them to seal. I put the old parts back in and got the tests correct. I then bought genuine mikuni kits and had great results. I also had more issues with leaking needles with generics that I didn't have with genuine mikuni parts...

    3D Printing Boat Bimini Parts

The 3D printer only works on the X and Y axis at a time. Then it moves up on the Z axis and repeats the process. The 3D part is made using a 2.5D process. Imagine if you laid up a jet ski hull one layer at a time, letting each layer cure before laying the next layer. A 3D movie gives you a...

    3D Printing Boat Bimini Parts

Ultimately 3D printed parts are not 3D. They are 2.5D. They are a bunch of 2D layers mounded on each other to make a 3D part. This causes the Delamination. I use my 3D printer a lot for patterns. You can either 3D print a part and lift a mold off of the part or 3D print a mold and inject the...

    3D Printing Boat Bimini Parts

Yes you can make working bimini parts with 3D printing. I do not believe a 3D printed part is the best choice for your application. I agree with the rubber part. Not sure you can cut rubber with a router, but one thing I use my 3D printer for a lot is making patterns. I print the pattern...

    Input on X2 hull mods?…etc

I 100% agree with this. People always give me a hard time about my X2 never running and I always tell them, that's the point. My superjet is bolt ons, always run and is a great ride, My X2 is like an old car. The thing I enjoy so much about the X2 is modifying it. I'd get it running and then...
