Hi
My bendix trashed the one flywheel with the 4 separate magnets....can I bolt on the one with the full circle magnets...both are from 62T motors. I already put in the full circle one and the ski starts up fine...just wondering what the difference might be between them.
Hi guys
This is likely a question for the carb tuner peeps and everyone else who know enough about this subject to offer insights. The newest Jetsurf motorised surfboards since 2021 all have DFI fuel injection on the 100cc single 2 stroke engine....its basically a small jetski and I was...
I suspect you have leaking needle and seats. (and likely also the one way air valve on the fuel tank is leaking.... ....first start and run with fuel in the carb means fuel system is not primed and engine gets enough to start and prime the fuel circuit......second start the engine is flooded...
tks for the pics and the info.....So I have gone the loooong way round....I managed to make a mould from those very stiff Blowsoin Destroyer 2s which don't fit the Freak, but its the best I had. Now I have the proper shape of what will be my Freak's tubbies and I have shaped the edges so that...
cant imagine why peeps sell their Freaks :)
Busy making my own tubbies for mine so we can chase bouys on a FW course... (adaptation from Blowsoin destroyer 2s)
Thats exactly what I did....i took 2 from Yami main bearing oil seals I had ..They are slightly thinner than the OEM but the same diameter so that why I wanted to double up.
Our dealer here would only sell the whole bendix....no garter springs only. However I put a second spring in and have tested it now a number of times and engagement is perfect every time an gear retracts perfectly so this is a back up in case the one breaks.....I think it's good insurance
Thank you for an intriguing reply JC...I really appreciate it. I am trying to visualize how those weights move outwards when the starter is spinning up to the point where they touch the barrel that limits them flying apart, which must be the point at which something magic happens, much like...
The spring in there is typically the weakest link in the bendix....I want to put 2 garter springs in as a backup in case one snaps......any thoughts on that...tks v much
I have pulled more than a few bendixes and repaired them with bits and pieces of others over many years...I understand 99 % of how the bendix does its job, but I cant fathom how the centrifugal weights with that crappy liitle spring helps it to do its job.....I am tempted to delete that whole...
double up on the anti syphon valve under the little removeable kidney inside the carb chamber as a start ....that works for most situations.....thee is an upgraded kidney that came out in later carbs that also solves this problem due to how the fuel flow is changed.
mount some stainless eyes on the bottom of the hull by drilling from underneath the hull and using small countersunk bolts and nuts....then use a brap strap to hold the tank down nice and snug with some dyneema rope (kevlar)....use some 1 inch rubber underneath it so it has a nice nest to sit...
I find myself on the wrong side of this thread on both the galvanic corrosion side and the SS galling side.... I ride salt water 90 %
My SuperFreak carbon hull has eaten my aluminium water lines under the tray a few years ago ....replaced with stainless a while ago....its now eating my...
love your videos dude....we have howling wind and zero surf for 6 weeks weeks this time of year, so watching you guys jamming is the highlight of my week
This is great news for all of us who love the TPE short block ...My 1105 just got a top end rebuild, but I am ready to order a spare just in case the bottom end has done its time....no idea how many hours on the crank...I bought it from a reliable member on the X and it has been phenomenal so...
