Has anyone tried the square nose bracket? http://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/5003a3a0f870021f60a12b2e/steering-pole It looks like you could mount it wherever you need it. Just not sure if the cable fits in there or not.

I am wondering the same thing the bracket doesn't look terribly hard to make but where to get the u-bracket?

Makes sense. I have the turf off anyways so that doesn't concern me. It just looked like it was solid glass where the new holes would need to be and it would not be open to the tray.

I am looking to do something similar. Tired of my stock steering on my 08 and can't afford a blowsion ovp set up. What are you running for your steering cable? Did you end up modifying the stop?

Extended Ride plate and a scoop grate will help a lot. I noticed a huge difference with the scoop grate.

Worx 228 best handling mod I made for high speed to my 08.

I cut 1" off the back then d cut so the bolt on the steering nozzle is exposed. I ride mostly flat lakes. It has been perfect for me. i started with just the d-cut and then took the inch off. For me going full flush would have been too much.
