You don't have to worry about your chin pad ripping off maybe? I think it looks cool depending on the style of pole, kinda like the streetfighter look.
Yeah the Makai definitely was nasty but has some good memories. I think the Driftwood next door was competing heavily too for the worst hotel on the beach, but you cant beat being able to pull the skis up on the grass by the Makai. It definitely kept people close together which was a blast...
