is the wear ring corroded and pushing out anywhere? maybe the old prop wore into it and the new one is just too big?

I got these from dc shoes for $33 shipped. I also picked up some 2mm neo socks from amazon. I thought the skate tongue which is a little thicker than a standard shoe would give me a bit more cushion. They fit pretty good in my wammer rickter holds. Its almost too bad I am going to ruin them...

You may need a spacer behind the impeller, it may be tightened onto the stator.

The new 243 and 263 primerless loctite seems to work better on stainless and oily fasteners. It doesn't come in the glue sticks though. I find I use thread sealant 572/592 more often than thread lock now.

Put a ring of 1211 on the starter then install. Apply a light smear of grease to the opening where the orings slide in to make it easier. It may not be a bad idea to coat your flywheel cover gasket and stator gland fitting with it either.

I would use copper spray gasket before that stuff. But why do you need it? most gaskets go on dry.
