He got there as Gomez was flipping in the pool. Better late than never. I'll probably start a thread on mine soon and it'll definitely be ready for WaveDaze come April and Carolina Beach in May.
I should be there tomorrow evening. I hope there is one to try out, but I can't wait to see it in person either way. I barely remember that green from from a few years ago.
It says the sun will be shining all weekend and the surf will be super clean with 10 second sets. I'm going to just pretend I don't know how big those sets are
I think you're on the right track by getting in the spotlight. Everyone will be encouraging you to get that thing around and if you try to chicken out, you won't have anywhere to hide. You have to do it now.
All hull builders seem to do it, but I don't get why they don't just create a queue and work in order. A ski does not take months to build no matter how custom it is. I understand lead times, to keep work constant and all that, but why are people's skis put on the back burner to pump out...
It looks like you chopped the wide section of the middle of the bond rail and chopped a couple inches off the bottom deck too. How'd you decide on an X Jet topdeck? I like that purple, totally unique ski all around.
No foam is more buoyant than any other. It floats what it displaces minus it's own weight. A life jacket is only making up the difference in your own buoyancy to keep your head above the water. Put a 30lb cinder block on a life jacket and it will be gone.
It might still not be a bad idea...
That's probably what I'm talking about. My buddy's pole came from Fast Elements. I haven't given it a close lately look but it still looks fine overall. I think it is chipping a little but but not bad if I remember correctly.
I can't help you with most any of those but you may want to be a little more specific or give a goal in the measurements. Length could be bond rail to bond rail, nose to end of bottom deck, bulkhead to end of bottom deck...
I always enjoy seeing these specs as well.
This makes me feel lucky. We used to use a low boy trailer had centerless wheels and put at least a dozen sets of tires on it with prybars and used a ratchet strap to set them. This was probably 10 years ago so I didn't have proper tools and don't quite remember, but I think we did it because...
Was the old X variable width and would that be a pain to put back? My computer is maxed out at 1024x768 and I have to scroll side to side to read every post now. I don't think my computer is ready for the present, let alone the future.
