I'll bet that your issue is with the top of the cylinder. I had a similar situation earlier this year and the whole cylinder had dropped and were crooked. It took .015 to get them even flat. straight.

Or a 4 mix motor like the sthil trimmers that still use two-stroke gas but have valves like a four stroke then you could run them in any orientation and have them turbocharged.
I agree more options are always better.
I am sorry but I dislike everything about four strokes for a standup type machine there's too much water ingestion,and I don't believe you can make the same power for the same money.
When you say it's way rich what does that mean. How does it act. Throttle response? Any gurgling? If everything transitions smoothly. You may start by turning in your hss.
This should be a quick question and answer I'm sure somebody out there knows. I have a 144 pump with thrust trim. Will it work with my 155 nozzle? It will definitely have to be ground down but it looks like I still might no have much throw. Any advice is appreciated and if there is a nozzle...
