This is for an SXR? If so, 9/17 will respond well. I don't think you'll see much drop in top speed. For freeride, an R&D pump cone is a great companion to the 9/17.

I've been riding for 30 years and I still feel the same buzz from riding and the addition just keeps getting stronger! I still feel I'm in "learning mode" every time I ride. I'm so glad the sport still thrives........I had my doubts several years ago.

Did you change the pump any, or just upgrade the motor?

5052 is very soft and usually used for forming. It shapes like butter but isn't very strong structurally. I''m not familiar with 5086.

Only up until 2008, then they're essentially the same. The 2008 and newer poles have a improved design FX top piece (it's a little beefier)
