    How important is foam density?

At the risk of getting yelled at because I notice you always seem so annoyed by everyone in your posts, but we are discussing HOW to properly foam a ski. Believe it or not there are ways to do this scientifically beyond the scope of redneck garage. I don't think anyone is debating whether a ski...

    How important is foam density?

Figure out your available volume and get the density of the foam you intend to use. From there you can estimate if it will or how quickly it will sink. F=pgV Yamaha had this just right on the superjet, when that goes down, the tail just barely bobs above the surface, but it is enough.

    1995 Yamaha Superjet CUSTOM -SOLD-

In my experience, its really hard to sell a paint job, especially (no offense) a polarizing one like this. This ski is super nice, you should just keep it together and sell it complete, seems like you'd have better luck no?

2022 Kommander Race Ski for sale

So since this is no longer for sale, question.. for $38k, does that build cost basically require a purchase of a brand new SXR1500 to drop the drivetrain into the new hull?

    SXR 1100 Swap Help !!

Sure that makes sense, In my mind 'stock' to me which is kind of laughable would be to assume that all those easy mods would be completed like waterbox, carbs, dry pipe, whatever else, but leave the engine porting alone at least and avoid excessive race gas compression and no exorbitant ignition...

    SXR 1100 Swap Help !!

Sorry I am going to hijack this thread, but you have obviously built some 1100SXRs, what kind of speed you looking at for a stock engine on pump gas? Let's assume a decent prop is used with oem pump.

What killed the forum? How can it be revived?

This is true and it’s not all about technical details. Think about how many different hulls, parts, engine manufacturers there were trying to be prominent in the game just a short couples years ago. Seems like that is seriously dwindling, almost no new stuff happening other than manufacturers...

Super Jet 1992 Yamaha SJ No Spark

https://www.pwctoday.com/forum/technical-discussion/yamaha/225016-?t=412279 This is a really good thread, first thing it goes over how to bypass kill switch. Just be warned, if it starts with the black and white wire unplugged, the red button will NOT stop the engine (bypassed) and so you must...

Super Jet 1992 Yamaha SJ No Spark

You pull the spark boots off/clip them 1/2" or so and reinstall new boots. Best advice is to clean all connections inside the ebox and systematically check if you are getting power where it needs to be or if you have excessive resistance on a circuit. If you must throw parts at it for...

Super Jet 1992 Yamaha SJ No Spark

Replace your spark plugs, first if you have done so already. Then go into the techfaq on this site, download the service manual, and use a voltmeter to ohm out and test for continuity etc on the appropriate electrical components which will point you hopefully to your smoking gun. ....Unless you...

    Different strokes

Agree, I only have knowledge about 2t superjets, but depending on the course like you said, there is sometimes reason to run the WCOT, jet dynamics, or worx 205 all serving different purposes, not to mention static nozzle tilt and rideplate combo, it is all part of the game, especially in lites...

Is kommander the only one that does the turbo kit? Looked it up and wow it almost costs as much as the whole ski, $8500? How unreliable does it make it?

Hopefully not the Rickter hulls farewell announcement.

So you're alleging Vik stole the molds?

Hopefully not the Rickter hulls farewell announcement.

To someone who is totally out of the loop, is Pierre and the Rise brand a 'approved' alternate source of supply or are they copies in bad faith?

Super Jet 1994 Yamaha Superjet Waterbox Caulk/Sealer has came off

Correct, If there is any smoke inside the engine bay, you absolutely need to get that taken care of.

Super Jet 1994 Yamaha Superjet Waterbox Caulk/Sealer has came off

You are going to find out pretty quick if you have an exhaust leak. Ski will run terribly and then not at all because the exhaust is being expelled directly into the engine bay. Since the waterbox maintenance requires tank, battery box etc removal, best to deal with the issue right away and...

Just for fun. Write short crappy reviews of jetskis you've owned or rode.

What is Krash current status? Not trying to poke a jab at you or anything, stuff happens and I was hoping they would have produced a good product, but I remember you being a fairly big proponent of the RTP Krash skis & frankly I haven't heard a good story about the engines since they debuted...

Less capable than a superjet at speed, does the same stuff as a superjet in terms of freesyle, bad pump, more difficult to work on, unstable. Rare though and more squirrely fun, what's not to like.

Just for fun. Write short crappy reviews of jetskis you've owned or rode.

15 year old me bought a blown up 650 superjet. Fired right up in the guys driveway cold. Looked nice, paid the guy, went on my way with no compression test or anything. Darn thing kept dying in the water while riding, couldn't figure out the issue (also didn't know much about jetskis at the...
