That is a lot of PSI to not use the spacer. Look at the gap it is big. I think if you spend money for a better pump and then let it bleed out past o-rings or silicone you are not going to get the full gain of doing the better pump in the first place. IMO

Pull everything (motor-Ebox bla bla bla) stand it up on end and seal every thing that goes through the fire wall and all around it. This will buy you alot of time before refoam.

When I put my 850 together I used the cr bearings, the 701 and the 650 with the spacer washers had WAY TOO MUCH side play for my taste.
