I had a similar problem and it was my pump seal. I got a flash light and shined from inside of pump and could see the light shinning from in between the shoe and seal

I trouble shot for a long time. Went to move my poll and it was working, so I have a short in my Ss wires

I can jump power to the brown wire at the solenoid and ski will start. When I check voltage at brown wire I get 12v.... I have swapped solenoids still same problem. I don't know what else to try.

You don't want to sand base as soon as it flashes you can spray clear, normally you have a 24 hour window to get clear on, but I wouldn't wait.
