    Trim Options

Interesting! May have to look into it, I was thinking I was going to be spending $6-700 the x metal price range seems a lot easier to swallow.

    Trim Options

Thanks speedy! It does seem that x metal is popular, and I don't have much interest in surf so don't see myself hitting it on much. Do the X metals need much modification to fit a OEM 144mm pump, other than cutting a groove in the turn nozzle?

    Trim Options

I have ridden my Chan a few times, loving it so far, but now I wanting to get a trim system. There seems to be many options out there from the $450 range up to the $900 range, and I cant seem to tell what the difference is? Especially in the Thrust systems, specifically the EZ-Pull, EZ-FLO etc...

    Limiting Rope on X-Metal Pole

Thanks guys, I think freakriders method is going to be the ticket as I run mine at the shortest setting. Also, like he said my pole pad will prevent the eyebolt from hitting and has a nice clean look.

    Limiting Rope on X-Metal Pole

Oh, so you mean the channel where the bolts go through to lock it in place once adjusted?

    Limiting Rope on X-Metal Pole

Not sure who your responding to, do you mean what type of pole I am using or Kohl?

    Limiting Rope on X-Metal Pole

Ok, that is exactly what I was thinking of doing. It doesnt interfere with your steering, or put pressure on the chin pad mount etc?

    Limiting Rope on X-Metal Pole

Wondering what you guys running X-Metal poles are doing to attach your limiting rope to your pole? I hate to try and drill into it, I was thinking of some sort of fabric loop to go around the turn plate area and hooking the rope to that, but I'm not sure if it will slide around and interfere...

Thanks Pablo, being upside down might be a bit away. But when the time comes to try it, I will have someone document the hilarity.

    Steering Cable Help

Thanks guys, think I got it sorted out with y'all and Pablo's help. Ran the cable down the left breather under the pipe, then behind the tank and under the engine. Doesn't operate as smooth as when it was ran straight, but guess that's just how it's going to have to be. Going to look into some...

    Steering Cable Help

It's an xmetal standard, I would hate to know what it's like getting it to work with a comp pole like I had.

    Steering Cable Help

I think where the issue with the couch cables is they are a bit shorter at the ends where they mount not the cable length overall.

    Steering Cable Help

Yeah, I figured it's fairly normal, but wasn't sure if there was some sort of magical configuration that would help it sit a bit more flat. It's not that it's binding really, just as it gets more bends, it doesn't move as freely.

    Steering Cable Help

Yeah, I just think of it's not off to the side in my application, it will interfere with the water box.

    Steering Cable Help

Well, running into another problem with the build on my chan. It seems the steering cable is entirely way too long. Are the round nose cables shorter than the square? If not, what do yall running shorter hulls do with all of the extra cable? It seems with the way my hull is, the extra cable is...
