    Grinding Aluminum

Ok I'm about at my wits end with grinding this Xmetal adjuster plate to allow my ATP steering mount to fit through the hole. I've tried grinding stones, and a carbide bit, both of which clog very quickly..do y'all have any tips for grinding aluminum?

    FreeForm Factory

I think the 6500 price point is more than fair, if they hold up to their claims. Hell, builders want 10k for a bare bones carbon hulls that still crack and have problems..now THAT is ridiculous! Hence why few own the hulls other than pros and wealthy.

    Free Form Factory

Has anyone seen the article in Pro Rider regarding the Free Form Factory FFF ski that is supposedly "indestructible"? Looks very similar to a chan/phantom. It seems many have made bold claims like this when first introducing skis, few have seemed to be true. Anyone know anything about the...

    Pump Alignment/Install

Thanks those helped! Well, my lock washers don't look anything like his, and are a bit smaller, but I presume they do a similar task?

    Pump Alignment/Install

I mean I've seen many skis with no shims, not saying that's the correct way, but looking at it I just wasn't sure what held the engine in place on the mount.

    Pump Alignment/Install

Yeah. Are you talking about the washer that sits between the bolt head and the bed plate? The one with the slit/notch in it?

    Pump Alignment/Install

I'm not sure I'm following you? What uses a washer? Is it something I need to purchase to put between the cradle and mount?

    Pump Alignment/Install

Got a question regarding the engine install/alignment, figure I'd post em here rather than another new thread When I set the engine on the engine mounts, it sits pretty even with no shims in place. But, when I don't have any shims, what keeps the engine from just bouncing around on the mounting...

    Pump Alignment/Install

Well, so far I feel pretty good about what I have..I did have to grind the holes out a bit, and that really helped give me more adjustment. I got it to where I felt it was pretty square in the hole/bulkhead and with a 2X4 against the reduction nozzle I leaned against the 2X4 and pulled myself...

    Pump Alignment/Install

Well that's unfortunate..I guess it really wouldn't go anywhere if only the front two bolts were used..just may rattle/buzz?
