These first two hoods were hand laid by me. Im looking into having someone lay up the hoods for me . Tony said he would . I just need to see what can be worked out.
Looks good. Do you have a hoodliner for the hood yet? How does air get into the bildge? Is that a modified UMI? How does it attatch? Any pictures of the underside of the steering?
I took a class by SEM , thier head painter said its not the color that needs flex additive , its the clear that needs it. He took a piece of tinfoil and sprayed it with color then after it dried he crumpled the tinfoil to show the paint color didnt crack.
I know what hes saying , im not sure why people think they need to hammer it down but with my experience if you need anything to hammer it down your doing it wrong. Or just overkill.

And dont think you have to do a piece all in one shot. When doing a big piece like the tray you can just glue up the first ten inches or so starting from the front foothold . This way your not fighting a huge piece thats covered in sticky glue. Just tackle it in three or four seperate glue ups...
I worked at a laminate shop when I was a kid. You can see the glue dry. It dries fastest if you turn your compressor down and gently blow air over the glue. You want the glue tacky not dry. The dryer it gets the less it sticks. If the glue sticks to your finger when you touch it and it pulls...
Let me guess , you were running an R&D intake grate? Run a less agressive grateand dont bolt through the hull unless your looking to waterlog your foam .
