glad I found this thread. I have some good Ideas now for starting points
My problem is that no one is posting jetting for 5-7000' elevation like me
for my ported b piped 701 that is soon getting a wetjet mani and 46sbn I think ill try
120L
150H
20ish pop off
probably rich for my elevation but...
thanks for posting the jetting. I still have my wetjet intake and 46 on the shelf waiting for time to put it on. Im thinking of trying 120L 150H with the 46 riding 7000' grant lake elevation
are you using a 2.0 n&s?
and were you riding Klondike?
guess im gonna try to mod the stock hood and see if that helps
block off the top and front vents with some duct tape for now and drill two holes at the rear up high with 1 1/2" openings
Ive also read about people making a big spash tray above the coupler....maybe try that too
and another rule...
Im sure it has to do with water in the hull but both my superjet and 550 run like sh*t after a nice deep sub
I usually just park them and take a break and they run fine after 30 minutes or so
both skis running rule 500 pumps turned on before subbing
ebox and air intakes don't seem to be wet...
thanks, thats good to know since Im about to put one on mine too.
I was looking at the casting marks and rough sides and wondering if a quick flapwheel in there would help
Im getting ready to turf my sx too
im filling those low ridges with kitty hair
its kinda like a fiberglass bondo
sand first with some course paper so it sticks better
I got one of those I the back of my garage under a bunch of stuff, Do you know how to fix them?
Can you do submarines?
Never seen one of those before...( talking about my kawi SC )
So I ended up taking out the top phillips screw on the curved stainless bracket thats on the pole,
then I used a prybar to flatten out the hook on the bracket that the pin is getting stuck on,
I also sprayed some white lithium grease on it.
Its working better now
I cut the hooks off both ends of a 1" ratchet strap, then replace with carbineers through the strap loop the hooks were on.
I feed the strap through the stern eye without the carbineer then put carbineer back on and clip it to the trailer
Cut the excess strap off, tie a knot and melt end...
never ran one before but wondering if I should add some 5200 around the cooling passages or just slap it on and ride.
I checked the head for flatness and got brand new o rings for it
wont be able to check cylinder for flatness until stock head comes off
just wondering what You guys do
I messed with it a little more and think I found a better technique. It helps if I push down before I pull towards the hood. Its not bent but I think im going to grind off a little bit from the pole bracket to give more clearance
I am new to Yamahas so still figuring it out
thanks for the...
is there a trick to these? is mine bad? am I doing it wrong?
been riding 550s for ahwile and just got a SN SJ for this season. after i put my hood back on its a PITA to release the pole pin holder upper thing and i have to use a screwdriver or something
please help and thanks
