Yes west systems 105 resin, I like fast hardener for smaller jobs like this, you will need some 404 thickener aswell. I have used JB weld kwik, also works good.
Clean and grind both surfaces with course sand paper/grinding disc. Put epoxy or thickened epoxy resin on both surfaces let dry, redrill holes replace with ss rivets. For extra put a layer of fiberglass or carbon fiber overlapping both pieces by atleast three or four inches.
I nosed one in the second try on my freak in decent surf. Took a while on boat wake, still need a pretty big boat and go rite off the back. Flatwater seems pointless to even try with a 701. I swapped in a buddy's xs 827 and it didn't make it any easier on flatwater. I need more power!
Good work, my only suggestion would be to start the rocker back a bit farther. I started mine just in front of the motor mounts. Looks really good though!
I have a new throttle cable from jetmaniac that was too long for my freak, and not sure what the steering cable was from a vxr I believe, that was also too long, come grab them and see if they work.
I think Square nose cable may be longer, I may have one, if that won't work blowsion sells a long one. May have to get a long exhaust hose from a sit down and cut it down.
I see, So just wondering what finish would stay most flexible? No gel coat, painted? Do you gel coat then paint all the Chans?
Edit, obviously not on the partial visual, is that resin on the outside or clear gel coat?
I went from a fully equiped RN, to a -4 rockerd SN then to my -4.3 superfreak, last season. I ride mainly small lakes. I would say that the benefits of my current hull far out weight any negatives. You do have to work a bit more in choppy water if you want to go long distances. Like others...
Just wondered what kind of life you guys are getting out of X metal cables? I added new xm trim mid season last year. I rode yesterday noticed it felt tight, by the end of the ride it wouldn't pull at all, cable is coming apart at the nozzle. Is this common?
