For long distance trips, do you guys cover your skis with tarps so no rocks/debris mess up the paint?

Ya I am leaving CO in the morning and will be driving to Vegas, should get there at 7pm. That's at least 2 hours of driving in the dark, worried about it in the dark in such a populated city.

I have a hitch hauler, and was wondering if you guys transport skis with them in the dark, and what precautions you take.

By that, I mean can you take a picture of the nozzle turned all the way both left and right? I am trying to determine where I'm at, would really appreciate it.

So, does this mean the "popping the resin" theory is only true for the ride plate bolts, not the pump bolts? (for sj and fx1)

I'm confused cause I have an fx1, and the tray is not flat, there are 4 indents where the bolts go through. If the bolts were too long, wouldnt they just go through too long and poke your feet?

I remember somebody saying if you don't put silicone in the inserts where the pump bolts up on a yamaha, then water can get in your foam. Is this true?

I swapped from an fx1 pump to a sj pump

so it goes inbetween the 2 bearings in the mid shaft? i have been on about 6 rides without it and nothing has happened.
