WDK has an open bulkhead design. The bulkhead "box" is connected to the pump tunnel. Think it might be part of the layup of the hull. If it didn't your ski would sink very quickly

Oh wow! Small world. Not catastrophic if it blows. Definitely can postpone it. Porting can make a huge difference when done right! I recommend sending it off to a pro to have it done if you plan on doing anything other than an exhaust port template.

Stator doesn't only charge battery. It deals with ignition as well. Your overheat sensor would cause the ski to go in limp mode, meaning it wouldn't rev up. It won't shut it off.
