Just wanted to say I rock the flip up style stern and cable loop on bow of both my superjets. There's no point in trying another option. You can limp in a 20 something footer in an emergancy on these things. For skis clip up and get the hell out
Ill personally take the emberrasment of running a primer since it means if my ski turns over in 5 footers im a few plunges away from having power again
No one im that situation is thinking abput their tune and what they need to tweek. They are thinking about getting the ski started
I have a 144mm skat with one of the "brap brap" props. It does make a difference. you get control in the nasty whites and more control at high speed. Now keep in mind I'm on a 91 superjet hull and ride fast as possible...two handfuls of times a year. Is it worth 2k? I would say he'll no.
I work with "molly" as it's called in my industry every day. It's super brittle cold and very malleable when hot. What that means for a 2 stroke jet ski engine...I dont know
I think art at jetworks told me more volume through the pump. That it sacrifices a little speed but for low mid gain. Something like that. Told me the same thing about the cone too. Stock cone
I'm half convinced his A prop is in fact a 13/16 3mm cutback. I've never gotten an answer one that
I learned to ride surfing a boat wake at like 17 mph on a stock 650 superjet. Stay on the throttle.
Bored nozzle, 13/16 cutback, 9/15 hooker, or jetworks A prop. Don't even need a pipe to have fun
Your describing a concept called progess, under a system called capitalism. Aka, whoever makes it better wins. The attenps after the first are always better. Complex systems never do it right on the first try. Look at Krash's first attempt at a ready to go ski
My old Ford vehicles died at like 130k miles. Say what you want about gm, but if it has oil those motors out live you. You just gotta deal with the stupid crap that happens while your alive. A small block 5.3 chevy motor is a hell of a motor
I feel like we are all looking at this the wrong way, except for @Sparkplug who flew 14 air planes before doing the best barrel role ever this morning.
In Industry you don't go out of your way to impress. You get a contract with specs on it and you meet them or die trying. +/- whatever, the...
As a fashion victim, I regret installing footholds on my sn. It did teach me the basics of glass though. It's like 90 percent prep. Footholds on a superjet are very far back because of where the exhaust tube is. Even if you modify the angle of the thru hull tube... It's A LOT of work.
To...
If you cut the tray off and refoam you are gonna put in about 60 hours of work in to save 30 pounds on your ski.
If you take away material and widen the tray when you do it, now the ski doesn't float anymore with the back end bobbing at the waterline if you sink it. Less foam, less buoyancy...
