I would probably shim the back of the pump and drill out rear motor mount holes and slide them towards hull, should be enough because pump shims can raise the driveshaft alot.

R50 doesn't contain benol castor, it's 100% ester synthetic like K2. Super techniplate has 20 % benol according to my search. But R50 is definitely a thick 50 weight oil with a high film strength great for racing/sustained high rpm protection.

Local rider switched away from R50 because of all the spooge running out exhaust when it's sitting. He went to K2 and said it went away and he no longer needs a rag to catch it. K2 has a 240° flash point compared to R50 being over 500° (factor contributing to spooge). R50 is therefore great for...

I believe those are dust covers (black plastic) and not bearing cages just to clarify things on your question.

First I have heard of this, XS indicated some of the European guys have had better results in saltwater with the Kawi coils.

Have you tried running the lower voltage Kawi coils in place of 50,000 volt MSD coils ? Saltwater and 50,000 volts spells trouble.
