If you possess the skills to grind glass and replace it, you posses the abilities to just install a 144 pump tunnel... I think your problems are beyond the height/ depth of the tunnel, but all so the width. BTW, why isn't your pump shoe tapped for pump mount bolts? What sort of thrift store...
