I already had these couplers from a 760 donor ski and I hear they are strong. They are a little big but for now I think Im gonna run em.

Swap I have a nice 64x box that is in excellent condition. I just opened it for the first time and stole the relay. You can have it if you want for shipping and maybe a few bucks to cover my efforts. Would be way bettet than tryin to fix that thing.

I would say dont worry about it. I havent ever been stopped or questioned and with proper registration you will be fine.

The ratchet strap seemed like a good idea until after I watched this video( ) from the Ski Clinic. He just used long punches as a levers in the rear mounting holes to leverage the pump forward. Makes it look very easy.

The sticker will come with your new registration. So if it isn't expired don't worry about it. Should you put it on once you have it? I would say yes for sure.
Thanks for the post…..I was just looking to buy one or two today. I'm trying to figure out the best automatic pump if anyone has any experience. I know there are a ton of opinions on the other thread. My plan with TL is to run one auto and then likely a second on a switch if needed...
This high dollar Skat uses a brass insert for a cooling on one side and the OEM on the other. I couldn't get a hose clamp to slide in between the hose and the crappy Skat welds. I'm gonna add a brass insert on the other side as well. Mostly so they match!!
For future Chan owners the pump inserts are 10mm, 1.5 pitch and 25mm in length worked well. I had a whole tray of donor bolts and none were the right pitch. OEM is 1.25.
Ok so a little progress today….I mounted the new Skat 148. I ran a tap in the holes and used anti-seize and tried to do everything correctly. It's certainly not rocket science but I think when you have this much money invested and you have never done a build before it is a little nerve...
