Buckwild, "Fanboy" is a term used by people who don't want to hear how happy you are with ____ builder LOL... I'm glad that you've had good luck with TEM, its important to know what kind of service people can expect after the sale with any vendor.
x2 on the good thread XJ.
I guess i didn't...
I'm 100% motor ignorant. I've learned a few things the hard way, but major issues make me want to run away quickly. Sometimes I cringe when I think about the money I have in my JM781, but its a completely new motor for all intensive purposes and the fact that its been trouble free has made it...
Thanks for your valuable input.
*edit*
And your edit still doesn't address the OP's question about builders that offer a warranty, just your personal experience with 4 hulls. Just because you've owned a part that didn't fail, it doesn't mean the next one out the door from the same mfg was perfect.
If this doesn't count lmk and i'll edit my post.
But Steve (Trendsetterz/ Backie Chan) has commited to replacing my hull because of a issue with the gel coat. He has stayed in touch with me and we've agreed that i'll ride what I have through the end of the season and he'll send my replacement...
This is a old forum. A lot of people have come and gone from this scene, and I believe Jeff has been around just as long. Hell I've only been riding for like 4 years and know two people who finally gave up on getting their parts or their money.
Just because someone isn't on today, right now...
I wanted to get my chan on the water. I didn't have a spacer (still don't). So we took off the little bit before the trailing edge of the blade. Used a lathe, i don't remember how many thousandths it was that we removed, but it wasn't a lot.
LOL i've done it to two impellers now. A 10/16 and a...
How are you getting it unstuck?
Are you able to find whats actually binding? Or is it just releasing magically?
Just curious, what impeller are you running?
I had to cut back the hub on my Hooker impellers because they were rubbing on the hub of the pump.
Honestly it sounds like you might...
I'm out of likes... Having a crap day to boot but my crap day would probably be a dream for you right now.
Absolutely amazing how this scene has pulled together for you man. All the gold stars and high fives to TTstang for being the hype man of sorts, keeping up with Hood and making sure...
Just in case the ad gets deleted or they sell it:
OMG - what a great family boat (featured in Handyman Magazine, June 2011 edition)... This pontoon boat has about everything... 20' Starcraft... 25hp Johnson 2cycle with less than 40 hours on it... 6kt cruise... sips gas... 240 square ft of...
I think SJ's are 12.75 or 13" on center for the main chines. You can measure and check.
I wouldn't use turf/ foam, its like brakes on the bottom of the hull. Carpet is a safe bet, and some folks use the teflon like bunk material, but its super slippery, so be careful.
