Yeah if I grind the big hole, the 4 threaded holes won't line up. I didn't know another plate exists. Awesome. :rolleyes: So it's the pole that's "wrong" not the steering?

I buy a ATP steering system for my Chan. I go to install and I have to open (grind) the hole larger by maybe 1/8" for the center pin of the steering. It attaches via the four smaller, evenly spaced holes. So I chalk it up to 'Thats Normal' and grind away. Now the base fits, bolt it in...

Stock ride plate is preferred for 'freestyle' but going full speed is almost the opposite of freestyle. So I wouldn't worry about the proposing too much. More time in the tray will help with that.

ATP is larger and heavier, but the Titan requires me to drill a massive hole in my Xmetal pole. I thought the RRP was proprietary to their pole. :dunno:

I think you'd get the most if you part it. If you can find someone to take it apart. That sounded like a list of high end, desirable parts. Hate you have to let it go, but you're all laid up anyway, might as well get your bills settled up while you heal.

Welcome back! Sounds like your plan is pretty solid on making the skis water ready. If you haven't started them since then, it might be a good idea to spray a little fogging oil or similar into the plug holes and manually turning the crank. I'm sure its fine but might be a little easier than...

Little update on this thread. I ordered the ATP steering and got it in yesterday. I would say its nicer than the titan for 1 reason. The Titan, you have to hog out the hole in the center of your pole to tighten down the main nut. Nobody wants to grind on the business end of a AM billet pole...

You misspelled months.... LOL congrats... It's a addictive hobby. If you wanted to get fancy-ish with your transport, you could build a base for your bed out of 2x4's, space the long pair to match the chine width (I think it's 13" on center?) shape the corners a little add carpet...

I built my JM770 with one I got from Fiore, no cracks. Has performed fine so far. Never had stock or lightened on it to compare though. :dunno: I almost wonder if the cracking is due to carelessness during torquing or installation? I'm sure now that I've said that, mine will crack and...
