Check this motor out. Picked it up from a friend. Looks like 61x cases with a custom side draft and manifold (Maybe Kawi) welded to it. Someone school me on this thing. I'm thinking of running it in something if it is as good or better than t cases.

Here is a pic of the flange thickness. Kawi as around 28mm and Yamaha is 21mm. This pipe will not fit on Yamaha manifolds without having to do some clearance, because the radius is tighter.

I am! I'm going to fill the gaping holes with aluminum to stop further corrosion and rebuild it. The impeller wear ring and shaft are in great shape, so I'm hopeful it will still work.

Do you guys think its worth trying to repair, or go stock with prop/cone ect.

Hey peeps, I pulled the pump off my Mod Hull after wrestling with the wall anchors they used to secure it, and noticed it has a stainless stator section. The wear ring is also stainless and is really thick maybe over 4mm. The bore measures 140mm, and the prop looks to be a custom pitch 13/18...

Thanks, it helps to know someone with a similar setup ran this. My stocker is trashed, so a free prop is looking good as long as it won't be a problem. The pitch seems very similar to stock which I think is 14-18?

My engine is a 62t case 61x Cyl ported and bored to 84mm. FBP Mod chamber, bored 38 carbs MSD enhancer, billet head running 180 PSI. Thats about it. Do you guys think it will move, or am I better off getting a stock prop?

I just came across a mint Solas YB-SC-J Impeller for free 144mm 14.7-18.5 pitch. Could I run this in a B1 or would it bog me down? Thanks, Carlo

The guy who has it does not have a motor yet, so he can't test fit it. I know I can get this one to work for me, but not sure about him. For anyone else with the Headpipe question here it goes. Both Kawi and Yami headpipes could possibly fit in any ski, but the only way to know for sure is...

I measured, and the thickness is 28mm. I guess I sold the one for my ski by mistake. I went with the color of the pipe (the one I kept was the silverish one and the other was black) so I thought they went together. No biggie, we will have to trade them. Thanks for the help
