Blaster extended Nozzle improves turn radius ??

Put a set of these sponsons on your B1, & I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I've got an 800 in there, & the handling is even better than the acceleration. It'll be the best $100 you ever invested in your ski. Oh yeah, the sponsons & mounting bracket's are off an '03 GPR800. .... don't...

Here are some more pix of this "snowball" project. It's my version of a "reverse" quick trim. I need the nozzle to aim down most of the time anyways, to control the porpoising. I used a U.M.I. throttle lever a very nice customer gave me, an old choke cable from a Jetboat I had, & a reverse...

Thanks Danny. Hope you get to ride it some day. It rides even better than it looks. Not sure on the top speed yet. I just installed a speedometer on it, but haven't taken it out yet. Plus, I also JUST got the new prop in the mail today. Which I took to my friend to repitch. I'll let you &...

Couple of pix of the 99% finished product. Still need the Hydro Turf mats & rear corner plastics. But besides that, I'm pretty much finished. Here's my attempt to compensate air flow to the motor, since I eliminated the top vents with the dash. Don't think I'm starving the motor, cuz it really...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Thanks for the compliment. I can't believe it's finally painted. I'm sure you know the feeling. Hey, that's a great idea on enlarging those 3 holes. I forgot that it also breathes thru there. I was thinking of putting atleast 1 (if not 2) of those vents, on each side, where the choke & fuel...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Here are the latest pix of the tip FINALLY FINALLY painted. I was shooting for the same color as my Tacoma. And as you can see in the 1st pic, it's pretty darn close. But since my neighbor hooked me up with it for free, plus it's Imron...... it's PERFECT!

    927 Blaster 1 Project

GOOD point ??? Well, I guess if it doesn't get enough air thru the hole on the top for the steering stem & small drain holes @ the bottom of the hood; I'll have to install some Flo-Rite Vents (http://www.rivayamaha.com/RivaStore/product_page.asp?Category=Flo-Rite%20Vents). Thanks for bringing...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

I can't believe it's finally alllll (atleast) primed. Lord willing, it'll all get sanded & painted this week. Then it's "assembly" time. (engine IS assembled btw)

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Thanks Blaster800. I sure hope it looks nicer when it's all painted. I'm going to be starting off with a Skat Trak 14-19, I picked up from a friend for $50. He could always pitch it for me, if need be. But do you think I'm wasting my time & $, & should just go with a Solas? (stock pump)

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Got engine completely together & absolutely no problem with piston clearances. Just had to cut the exhaust valves back to clear the MUCH bigger pistons. I know the project's going slow, but I'm picking up the pace. Here's the bottom... FINISHED. And... my mod to the top cowling to accommodate...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Yeah yeah, of course I've got the pistons, I just haven't put 'em in the motor, yet. I've only mocked up the engine without the pistons or the crank for fitting purposes. That's why I haven't run into that problem with the piston skirts "yet". Believe me, I've got so much fiberglass work left to...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Oh, I see what you're saying now. To tell you the truth, I haven't put the engine completely together. Just dropped the cylinder's on the cases. No piston's yet. Just a question, if I may. Why couldn't you just alter the piston, instead? Just wondering why that wouldn't work? The main reasons I...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Haggis- I rolled 2 layers on it. I've got an orbital sander, so it should be no problem w/a 220 grit. Then I plan on priming it with the 545 Awlgrip primer, & then giving it a few layers of white Awlgrip. Vomitspot- not sure if yours was a question, but the answer is no. These standard 66V...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Finally got a little more progress made. Fiberglassed & gelcoated the bottom. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to sand it, in order to get it ready for the AwlGrip. Then I'll flip it over & start with the top.

12/31/09 As you can see in pic: -"small" exhaust outlet installed (for mock up) -that's 3 1/2" from pipe to exit (used 1 of the 1100 Raider w/b's, fit like a charm) Also had machinist make me a 3/8" thickness ring (bout same size as outer flange) to go on the inside, which I drilled & tapped...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

12/28/09 Made a little progress today. Still need to clean this hole up a little but pipe & w/b line up beautifully. And no problem with clearance for the electrical box on the other side. SIGH... Here is the w/b STRAPPED down ;-) AND padded underneath. And the battery box is bolted down...

Clearance cut for filter assemblies is -DONE. I don't have the filter's yet, but I've got 2 1/2" clearance from base of adapter to my current cut. Will try to get em 2mrw ;-) I'll post some new pix in a lil while. Waterbox & Strap, battery tray, & fuel tank straps & foam under support --> are DONE!

    927 Blaster 1 Project

-My reason for a bigger tank is so I won't have to come in for fuel every 2 hrs. There's usually at least a 1/2 hr ride to any decent surf round here. I figured, worse case, if I only put 7 gallons, it'll still weigh the same anyway. It just gives me the option to fill it, as much as I'll need...

    927 Blaster 1 Project

Hey orangefinger, It'll be all stock 800 bottom-end with ported GP1200R cylinder's resleeved with cast iron sleeves to fit 87mm pistons. With a stock head & gasket machined to fit the bigger pistons. Stock pipe and stock carbs with individual filters & pre-filters. What occurred to me bout the...
