what octane gas are you running? With the type its recommended to use 37cc dome on pump gas. I used to have a very similar setup but with dual 38s and ripped very hard (still does)
He would be touching the base gasket. only re sealing the cases. I think this is a lot better than blowing the engine and gives him few more weekends, of course all this is assuming that the seals are the only things need of replacing.

Since you are fairly familiar with taking complete engines out, take it out, flip it over and replace the seals without disassembling the top end. fairly quick process with removal of the engine being the longest step.
it might be just a visual effect but it looks like the connectors are bent, if so try to get them on flat plane gently,

Great Foam is open cell foam, like a sponge, only the exterior skin thats created during expansion is closed assuming it doesn't touch any other surface and if thats the case there will be a void between it and the hull.

I have a custom ported (jetworks) 803cc 4mil with a mag 140 and run 14/19 hooker. run a 14/22 but found it too good on mid/high but only ok on bottom. Current prop is perfect for my app but if I can find 14/18 or 13/18 I would try it just to see, although I'm afraid it will rev out too...
