dont overlook start/stop switch, you said after wiping out, some water in it = stop circuit closed. I had that issue and it was just as intermittent as you described.

if you just need the shaft then press them out and switch as they are the same. The bearing housings are different between 90-93 and 94-07 (if I remember correctly). Adam
