Yet not one decent video of these running on the water. I always hoped this engine would amount to something, but I think we can all write it off at this point :(
Valid argument, but the main issue Is still the fact that there aren't enough people interested in stand up jet skis. I suppose you might have more potential buyers if the price came down, but it will always be a very niche sport.
Also highly doubt Sea Doo will ever build a stand-up

This is exciting news anyway you look at it. Glad to see they are producing a new ski. The unfortunate reality is that the sport will never be what it was in the 80's and 90's. There just isn't enough interest from the general public. This is why prices will always be higher for a simple...
If you had your flywheel off and now it's backfiring after reinstalling I would go back and check your woodruff key.
I also noticed that you replaced the flywheel with a lightened one. If you have your old flywheel I would try running that and see if the backfiring stops.

Now it's time for a ride report. Probably goes a little like this...."flips and spins with ease. Doesn't ride nose high at all. Game changer!!" :)

I guess I should rephrase my first post. I've seen brand new hulls that were stripped for aftermarket ski builds sell for 3k.

3k is what I have seen them go for. It's supply and demand. They go for a lot because there aren't a ton of 08 + hulls for sale and that's what people will pay.

Only thing I can say is that I had a turn key KDX built by Xscream in my shop with your exact set-up and it had a 148. No expense was spared on this built so I can only assume that the 148 was the best pump option for that set-up. It was mentioned earlier and I have to agree, the guys at Xscream...
The original OURY grips are amazing. They look like they came straight off an old 70's era dirt bike, but they are thick, soft and comfortable.

The thing that irritates me the most is that the ban only applies to PWC and not outboards. There were tons of smoking 70's era outboards all over Powell. I'm sure this is part of the reason the enforcement of the ban is so relaxed. Even the fish cops can see how silly it is to remove a couple...
Just got back from Powell and figured I'd post an update for anyone planning on heading down there with your ski. I was shocked at how much they could care less about 2 strokes. Drove in with two superjet's on a trailer, launched from the main boat ramp with no issues whatsoever. Half way...
Thanks for the feedback. I plan on being extremely careful. We'll be loading up and heading out to a secluded area. Just concerned about getting through the main gate and getting them on the boat.
