I would recommend using an OEM Yamaha 760 64X head gasket part number: 64X-11181-00-00 that uses a three-piece stainless steel riveted design that is rubber coated with a .025-inch thickness.
The 701 61X heads have a single cooling hose exit and the 760 64X heads use a dual cooling hose exit...
I would be interested to know the timing & voltage variances between a stock 61X or 62T flywheel compared to a few aftermarket aluminum charging flywheels. The stock flywheels use four arc segment type magnets compared to the thinner eight or twelve flat round disc type magnets utilized in most...
The voltage controller only weighs three ounces with a one square foot solar panel weighs around eight ounces and with the wiring install would still be under one pound.
The only weight saving with a total loss set up is from the 1.78-lbs flywheel because the control unit and coil packs are...
If you mount the solar panels on the ski there would be not need for an external charger or battery swap. I've seen some TL jet-ski's with monocrystalline solar panels mounted on the pole or hood with a PWM charging controller such as this one...
You can use the 6R8 reduction nozzle without any tubes for a non-trim setup or the Pro-Tec nozzle for the larger 86-87mm bore sizes.
Here are the reduction nozzle stock ID & OD measurments.
The Yamaha 65U or 63M 155mm pump assemblies will bolt right up to a SJ hull.
It's just the pump shoe, inlet cavity size and driveshaft length that will be an issue.
Here's a picture of the Yamaha 155mm pump next to the 144mm pump for comparison.
I will be making a fiberglass pump cavity for the 155mm to 160mm pump conversions for use with the larger size Jet Dynamics aluminum pump shoe real soon. You will need to cut the tray open & defoam to fiberglass the pump cavity in place but the pump mounting points will remain unaltered.
The stock Yamaha 1100 has 110hp@6500rpm so it would be comparable to a 701 limited setup and the Swirl impeller might be the best choice for overall performance. The Concord might have the best mid-range acceleration due to the pitch number, cut back and impeller weight. The super slimline is a...
Be sure to have the exhaust manifold torqued on when having someone bore the cylinders to eliminate distortion on the 1100 & 1200 engines and use the 1100 63M exhaust gasket because it has larger cooling passages.
