I have been running one for about 8 months now in saltwater 2 - 3 tanks a week, no problems to report HUGE power improvement over stock CDI. DISCLAIMER I did however fit it to a 1 year old driveline so electrics were in good condition.

I think they have been heavier since the 08, I owned a 07 form new and a 2010 new the bottom deck on the 07 was wafer thin, I think this was the main reason for the change in bottom shape i.e the old tooling was worn out.

you can't put the headgasket on the wrong way without trying really hard, the bolt pattern has one hole offset a couple of mill so 2 holes would have been fouled by the gasket when you put your bolts back in. So if your not experiencing that hot flush right know as you remember a couple of bolts...
I have been running an epic 100% surf riding 3-5 hours a week for 6 months on a limited 701 power is excellent and have had zero issues. Everyone that has ridden the ski cant believe its an unported 701 :)

yeah I,ve used it on the bond rails (around the outside) and it worked well but a couple of things to lookout for it is the same thickness as molded diamond turf but with no cuts or pattern it is a bit harder to bend/form than regular turf which isn't that big of a drama just put a bit more...
@ #Zero yeah I run a 12/18 big hub behind a limitied 701 (pipe, head, epic) and couldn't be happier, when cutting back clearance on the center hub of the pump becomes an issue before you hit the vanes not by much but you have to watch it
