Looks great Bill. Glad it all came together for you. I bet that's going to be an awesome setup for your riding style. Hopefully I can get down your way soon and take it for a quick spin
You can't look at it that way. They were ran as two distinctly different classes. All the ams rode first and then the pros. An am with a 9.5 is simply not the same as a pro 9.5. Alex rode well for an am, but I don't think anyone would say he beat Stoyer and Ratti's routine.
I did a similar project a few years ago. You can see what I used and how many layers here: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/8334-Lanier-07-Buildoff-Contender&highlight=contender
In short, I used many layers of 1708 Knytex and US Composites epoxy resin. It never cracked anywhere even with a few...
Do you have a reason to remove the sleeves other than to port them? You typically would not remove them for a port job. You really need to do some research before you do any cutting on the ports. It's not necessarily that hard, but it sure is easy to screw up.
I called Markel. They can't do full coverage. The lady gave me a quote pending underwriting and then called back and said the underwriters won't take the risk. Progressive wouldn't cover when I called their national number. I'm still stuck.
I'm struggling here. I haven't ridden much at all this year (maybe 7 gallons) so it wasn't a big deal. I've been searching for full coverage insurance for my Matrix and I can't find ANYONE that offers it. I'm talking about legitimate insurance that will actually pay out if I need it, not some...
What's all this crap about the Matrix chine walking? MINE DOESN'T. Rides great. It is MUCH more stable and forgiving than a stock hull. I think you guys are reading way too much into the several owner's selling their skis. Do I believe that 100% were for "personal" reasons? No. Were most...
I was talking to a guy while in Pennsylvania for business this week. He was telling me about these two guys on those old time stand up jet skis and one of the guys was doing flips.....even did 3 in a row. It was early august of last year that he saw it. It had to be you and Malone. I forgot...
High quality fish oil is an excellent natural anti-inflamatory. Make sure it's the good stuff with a high % of omega-3's. Here's a bit of a guide:
"How to Check the Quality of your Fish Oil
The recommendations assume that you are taking pharmaceutical grade fish oil. This is a highly refined...
The guy that won the National Amateur comp year before last was on a cracked up waterlogged stock hull with a rather mild motor. He easily beat the entire field and it wasn't even close. Hulls and motors help, but even if the rest of the field had been on 40k skis, he still would have won...
