08 superjet must haves for freestyle

I think he ment "no; you HAVE to get a pre 08 pole etc.. I am not familiar with these steering setups or the earlier SJ's but I tapped out my extra hole on my stock plate and even with adjustment, there is no way to go stop to stop with the bars because the cable is too short (not enough movement in and out) It bottoms the cable out before it hits the turn plate stops and would put tons of pressure on your cable. The only option short of handlepole replacement is to move your cable closer to the center line of the nozzel. Seems it would be hard as there is some gussets on the top and bottom of the arm.

yea i forgot the comma...

Another option could be the blowsion nozzle mod, I havent tried nor have any feedback but it seems to be a nice option for quicker steering.

The steering on the 08 is in fact a little slow, the SXR turns faster....

Look at the top of the pole, the cast piece. You'll find the new one shorter there than the old one.
Look at the distance between steering cable retainer and steering cable knuckle on the turnplate.

There isn't as much throw as on the old RN pole.
You'd need an old pole and an older steering cable.

so you have to change the cable anyway becuase the pole was made for pre 08 sj steering cables right?

what happens if i put the xmetal steering system on my 08 pole and 08 cable. will it not hit the stops?

Does the x metal Plate have more throw from stop to stop? If it does it won't hit the stops and willl rack up the cable as the steering and cable are already maxxed out. The nozzle is the only way to get more throw without a new handpole and cable.

If you put an old superjet cable on the new superjet you will get more throw but you will not be able to turn left. The only way to get more throw without getting the old cable & pole is to change the possition on the nozzle.
