Project is almost done now, i do some testing at saturday and got engine run very well and everything seems working just fine. Also im very happy about overall power even with stock 650 ignition.

Next task is wrap that pole pad with hydroturf and change that stock ignition with programmable ignition.

Here is also few pictures about that hood liner that i have made out of carbon fiber sheet(prepreg) and those tubes are also carbon fiber.

Now it is dialed and ride 2 hours more, and im more than happy about performance. But it seems that mine impeller is too short. I have 9-17 skattrak (old, maybe from 95 or something) in place and pump is cavitating lots of at small rpms. So i had to buy some other impeller, im looking maybe impros 9-15 hooker, or what else fellow members at here suggest to me??

Also i had to thank other members about that carb tuning databank, because some research at there i can just find quite good starting point for jetting mine ski.

Also i have that 650 ignition in place still, so what is the biggest differences to 701 ignition? Is there same advance curve or something else?

Got today Superjet 2008 impeller from mine friend so i can test if there is something wrong with my pump or is that old impeller just too short.

I change impeller at weekend and it seems i found reason why mine pump is cavitating. Seal of pumps front end is not in good condition and also pumpshoe is leaking(not enough silicone) and found also that 3 long bolts are lose and one is missin. I think i have forgot to tight those bolts or something. also i think i had to check the alignment of the engine, because it can be little bad (vibration of the motor can cause those bolts go loose).

More progress. I replaced the midshaft bearings and gaskets. And turf that polepad, i made it from 4 pieces of turf and it seems it is quite good. Also found out that there is some problem with pipe mounting and it seems that i had 5mm too long silicon coupler and fitment wasnt good. Now i had to shim that pipe again. Also there is some problem with motor and pump alignment and it seems 650 pump is 2mm higher than 701 pump.

More progress... im little bit bored at work so i do something to mine ski. I got pole limiting rope done. I will use that also as a towing rope so i made little bit different way. Also i have rear bow eye deep in the hull so i need some loop for that. That loop at pole is some lasercutted switch holder that i found at work. It is quite good for that... Now ski only needing to assemble back that pipe to get water again. Im trying to find b-pipe for this ski because i dont want to mess with that drypipe anymore. It is so difficult work at inside hull with that massive chamber and i had to remove engine every time i want to take pipe off...

I hate that pole stays pretty low comparing to rn superjet so im now fabricating some riser bars. Also waiting b-pipe from munkie to arrive.

Riser bars that i gonna use are from Scorpa Sy250 trial bike. Those are oversize. And it seems i can use 750mm wide bars when trim system mounted so it doesnt feel too wide?

And i will use stock turnplate shortened(if cannot find new steering) and just put some bar mounts in place. And i can also use stock pole pad without modifications.

Now its again ready to ride.

I upgraded to B-pipe and riser bars and also make hood mod to drain water at rear of the hood. I got bilge also mounted but it is not connected because i cannot find good switch for that. I made also same pad for steering plate.

That steering uses stock sj turnplate and some mx universal mounts and Scorpa trial bikes handlebar that is cut narrower. I have also option to move back to stock handlebars if i dont like riser bars.

Thanks!

I received xr-tech intakegrate, maybe i had to also upgrade to aluminium pump shoe. Also i have -2" rn aluminium pole waiting next winter...

Progress

Now there is something new with that ski,

I started riding season last week and water is quite cold but it was super nice to ride again.

I installed xr-tech intakegrate and i had to say that fitment was nice and it seems to be very good quality. I previously have R&D Aquavein and solas intake grates in mine skis and this grate "glues" ski in the water, i think maybe too much even. But i think after few rides i will be comfortable with it.

I have also make new beach cart, it is made out of steel. But next version will be aluminium.
There is also mine previous beach cart which works very good at when you need to put ski on the water in places where the corner of land is sharp.

next change to ski is to get rid off that stock SN pole bracket and make new one and move pole forward approx 7 "
Im big ass so i need to get weigth forvard and this will help that also.

BTW: the riser bars are the best modification to this ski, it is much more comfortable to ride now! Also adding riser bars to stock turnplate is super easy if you make it ghetto style and also it will make your steering faster... also trial bikes riser bars will work with stock turnpad and take trim lever etc...

I think to add mx handlebars when i build mine 750 kawasaki 5 years ago but then i was too shy to try this kind of thing, that nobody has never tried...
