1995 Yamaha Superjet Resto-Mod

I'm very interested in how you got the pipe to fit!

I forgot to mention, I didn’t have to grind any more away from the hull. However I will say the the amount that I did grind away initially was necessary for the pipe to fit once I did get it in. The method I used for installing the pipe was
1: Installed the manifold on the engine
2: Installed the silicone coupler to the mid-pipe
3: Place both the chamber and mid-pipe into the hull
4: Place chamber into approximate location and then slide mid-pipe and coupler onto the chamber
5: Bolt the mid-pipe to exhaust manifold

That's the beauty of these Yuasa's, you can leave them on your shelf or trailer box for years and they are brand new when you add the acid.

I actually bought that in Daytona earlier this year during the freeride as a spare. We didn’t need it but I knew I could use it for this! Can’t wait to hear this puppy

I just got my girdle back from Harry last night when I got home. I was able to get most of the final assembly done for my ski. Thanks to @mikidymac for suggesting the 1211 Threebond for the intake gaskets. I got my intake sealed up and re-torqued a few days ago so the 1211 is fully cured. I reinstalled my cylinder head and girdle and torqued that as well. I pressure tested my engine twice, and this time it passed solid. I pumped to 9psi and clocked it for 10 minutes. It leaked maybe 1/4psi. I think she’s ready to fire!

If everything goes well, I should be in the water tomorrow for a test/break in. Unfortunately forecast is showing rain for the next 5 days o_O

I made it to the water! At 6:30 I shot down to the lake after working 9 strait hours on this bad boy. I cranked the ski at my house and adjusted the idle, seemed to vibrate a lot but I figured it would need to be tuned in the water. Harry Klemm sent me some instructions with my engine parts about break in and first start/re-tourquing the cylinder head and they suggest to allow the engine to idle in the water for 5-10 minutes while tied to the dock or connected to the trailer. I decided to just float behind the ski because there isn’t really a good spot to tie it up or leave your trailer in the water... I made it about 2 minutes Floating in circles near the shoreline and the engine wouldn’t idle after that. Kept stalling and smoking badly but I figured that was from the residual oil used during assembly. The other thing I noticed is that my boat seemed like it was leaning in the water pretty bad... hmm... I wonder if my bilges work! They sure did and put came a couple gallons of water! I scooted back to the shore and pulled my hood and couldn’t figure out where all the water came from. So I started the engine and figured maybe a hose was leaking. Nope, there is a bolt hole, with nothing in it, on the back of my cylinder head shooting out water. WTF?? I’ll take a picture in a bit but this was a modified 62T cylinder head Harry sold me, I think it’s written down what it came from but there is some threaded hole on the back of this head that is for something to do with cooling so I need to plug it. I’ll post pics later. So I was in the water for only a few minutes but I got some answers and I’m that much closer. The last thing I noticed is that when I pulled the ski out of the water, I ran it for just a second to empty the water box and I’ve never seen so much water come out of an exhaust. I mean this thing was like a pipe gushing water for way too long, usually I see a few good splashes out of the pipe but this was pumping water out. I’m pretty confused by that.
