I just called a local dealership and said whats up and they said bring us a grand and we will order you one. I debating!!!!

He seemed to think no changes were coming but he admitted he really had no idea. I toild him about the X and PWCToday and rumors and blah blah blah.

I'm half ass slightly considering ordering one but the deposit is non refundable.

When will we know for sure that a least something has changed?

Officially Sept 14th but as you know there will be a few runnin around long before that.. when you see a picture of one on here take a close look to see if its production or pre-production (proto type) until its on yamahas web site (sept 14th +or-) there is always time for changes.. I hope it keeps the same name for compition reasons.

I really don't think they can change the name or the design too much in order to keep selling it as a 2 stroke.

I think that is why the X-2 cannot be sold here.

Yami is Japanese as we all know. If you've ever done business or are well versed in Japanese culture you will know that longevity and loyalty are 2 important things to them.

They just brought back the Phazer in 07', brought the name from the past with a completely new chassis. Thats a hard thing to do especially when the machine totally changed.

Chevy Impala, Monte Carlo, Ford Thunderbird, Dodge Charger, etc, they all do it.

I hope the 08 SJ has a cup holder, heated seat and handlebars, crews control, and the 1 touch backflip button,

A 4 Stroke would be worthless (Slow, Heavy and will ingest water like a MOFO). It will not be a 4 stroke.
