Time to revive this thread. I posted these at pwct a year or so ago. I wonder if these will be it or some incarnation of these. The first is a hybrid, 3-D like thing and the other is a 4 stroke SJ. The engine in the patent sketches sure looks like the MR1 found in the fx line and the sport boats. 1100 cc 160 h.p. in H.O. form. Not likely at all.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention, I work in service at Arlington Motorsports (Yamaha, Suz, Pol), spoke with the owner at work and secured a spot at the dealer watercraft release in Destin August 19-22. I will be there for the release on Sunday and demo rides on Monday. If it's true or not I will be posting as soon as I get back to my room. Try to get some pics up too.

No doubt that is the MR1 motor. I recognize the silly plastic cover, the oil tank, etc. That's a helluva powerplant. My dad has an FX140 with the 1000 cc. That must just be for graphic purposes, I can't imagine fitting a motor that big into a standup, let alone one with 140+ hp. I guess it could be detuned?

We've heard for sometime that they will launch something to compete with the X-2 in Japan. Maybe that is it ? normally vehicles come out 2-3 years after patents are granted on a full assembly. The new SJ patent came out in 2005. Its was a thumper as shown though the rumor still has just a new bottom hull and revised pump. This new patent, the ski at least, is the rumored X2 fighter...???
