people know but wont tell?? why all the secrecy??

Its called a confindentiality agreement. You sign it you can play with cool stuff. You talk about it and you get sued. Thats why I find it hard to believe anything that has been said in this thread or somebody is sweating bullets hopeing they dont get fingered as leaking the info.

It was tested last winter at Allatoona, the Yamaha watercraft division is just down the road from the freeride campground. You see all kinds of stuff up at the Lake during the Winter months. You just have to know where to look.

SeaLion

Jet Ski Junkie
Is it going to be FI? It would almost have to be for emission reasons? Maybe low production numbers can get them around that or emission credits from the rest of the line that is 4 stroke or FI 2 stroke?

that explains why they are told to not say ********, but not why its held a secret. what company would give a poop that yamaha is finally revamping a somewhat dated ski!
all i needed to hear was from TC on pg3.

If you don't think Yamaha likes this Buzzzzzzz, you are smokin crack...

I seriously doubt anyone has actually seen it, just a lot of logical assumptions on what they will do going on here.... There are only so many things that could be changed...

It's either:
  1. bigger / smaller
  2. heavier / lighter / same weight
  3. 4 stoke / 2 stroke
  4. larger cc / same cc
  5. different top deck / same top deck
  6. differnent bottom deck / same bottom deck
  7. new pump / same old pump
  8. new composites / same SMC construction
other than those factors, really what else is there to change???
my picks are in bold

The only reason i can see them changing anything at this point is because they are no longer available to sell in Cali or New York as new skis (due to emmisions laws). Not sure how state sales breakdown, but i gotta figure with the populations of both Cali and NY they've gotta be feeling that hit.

The only way for me to buy a new SJ in NY is to have someone out of state buy one and sell it to me as a used ski... :bs2:
