So what you are saying everything is basically the same except for a impeller and a slightly reshaped hull. What is the big deal? Everyone is acting like the world is coming to an end.

Hmm... as far as I remember Kawi STX and Sea-Doo XPL dominated the 1200 class until Rius showed up on his $50,000 factory Yamaha GPR once or twice.

I agree, like my last post they won't build anything that we WANT because it won't sell to the public. The public needs a fun easy to ride ski. And the main thing is a price tag that is under the kawasaki. How many people do you know that bought a new SXR. And when you ask why not a SJ, their reasoning was "because it was cheaper than the SJ's"

I know of 3 or more.. come to think of it there might be 5 that used that excuse. In a riding group of about 10.

well a alittle off topic but i met someone yesterday thats been involved in racing for along time...they just got a call yesterday that someone has a 4stroke in their workshop...its a kawi though:sneaky:

Well, this is what we know.

1. There will be a new 2008 Superjet
2. It will not be a 4 stroke
3. It will have a new hull
4. It was designed by an ex-pro-freestyler.

(Nothing else has been confirmed as "for-sure" on here).

I called Yamaha Corporate personally and NOBODY knows anything. I talked to about 10 people. They say that NOBODY is allowed to talk to the design teams. There are NO pictures floating around Yamaha Corporate. All they know is new Superjet. :smile:

wait.. we dont know anything really.. this is all pre production (prototype) as anyone knows, anything can happen before production !! We might even get another dressed up 1996 !!! I heard IT hasn't even hit the line yet !
