The Bates Motel is a nice cozy spot. Great showers and sharp cutlery.

I resent that remark ..... while we are at it how about the .... Master Bates Motel . Shane we might camp one night and get a room the night before the ride home if we make it.

Mcdog I've never stayed at any of the hotels in CB, but a couple people did last year at the freeride, I'll see if I can find something out for you.

McDog I'm almost 100% sure that a couple people stayed at the Beach House Inn and Suites in CB last year during the freeride and had good things to say about that place.

We are contemplating just day camping for the ride and getting a room nearby to crash in. Any recommendations or places to avoid?

ANNOUNCEMENT! An affiliate of the Carolina Beach Freeride, Sears Media will be providing various merchandise at the freeride this spring! T-Shirts, Coozies, Vinyl Stickers, Etc will all be available on the beach for purchase at a vendor stand!

They will have multiple T-Shirt sizes available and a separate women's cut design shirt as well. Also it has already been noted that additional XL and XXL sizes will be needed. I will be posting an image of the shirts on FB in the next few weeks so you can see what they look like in advance!
