2015 fiberglass Phantom

Open up the holes some. and cut those bolts shorter. They look really long
30mm cap screws provided by Zach of PHP with purchase of intake. I prefer to have more thread contact that way less possibility of messing up my cases and having to resort to helicoils.

I just bit the bullet and ordered some 35mm stainless studs from McMaster Carr. They'll be here Wednesday and I'll have enough for my other PHP intake mani.

A couple minor updates from last night. Built a pole bump pad and studs came in for intake manifold. I ordered M6x35mm which work, but I should have ordered 40mm. They would seat deeper into the case.

IKR... Slowest build ever :( Unfortunately due to long work days and crazy OCDness about things being just right are killing this build. I'm really hoping to be in Lake Erie this weekend. Temps are gonna be 77 both Saturday and Sunday.

OK, so I just looked at my first post in this thread which was August 6th. It's now September 28th and I realize that's forever to build a ski, but I was only working on it over weekends. Here's a short video immediately after I got it in the water Sunday afternoon. The motor is a PHP PowerMouse fresh out of the box with zero minutes on it. So it needs completely tuned. I guess I'm giving a ton of excuses for how poorly I was riding, but that has nothing to do with the hull. The Phantom hull is crazy stable, yet incredibly nimble. It's super easy to flick around side to side. It's going to take me a bit to get used to riding a short aftermarket hull as I've been riding Superjets for what seems forever.

Ski looks awesome! Great job building it. I'm super impressed with Josh's work. The fit and finish looks excellent and the gelcoat looks perfectly straight.

Yea, I concur whole heartedly. I can't say enough about how enjoyable it has been to have Josh help along with this build. He responds to text messages like no ones business and even about silly stuff like "what thickness underpad do you use?" I think he sent me like half dozen pics of a ski he was working on.

The long and short of it is this is a niche sport and finding manufacturer/customer relationship that exceeds expectation is rare. When you find someone who delivers a quality product at an EXTREMELY cost effective price, you'd be smart to stick with them and any hull that I might purchase in the future will come from @sinisterjosh209 and California Freestyle.

I was sending the same texts and nagging him everyday with something different lol. He was a ton of.help with everything with my build. He's a badass dude for sure.

Impeller question: So... the Phantom is setup with an OEM 155 pump from a 98 XL1200 which I had JetManiac cut the driveshaft to the appropriate length and picked up an inexpensive Solas YD-CD-11/14 on eBay. Now I've only got like 30 minutes of ride time on the ski and will have to do tons of tuning to get the motor dialed in, but I've never run a 155 pump/impeller before and would like to know if I'm in the right ball park with the prop I purchased.

What 155 props are others running? Specifically people with smaller motors such as my PowerMouse.

I really don't need to know what people with 1200cc motors are running as that's not necessarily applicable to my situation.

Scott, I would see if Zack has any 155 advise for you. I know several of his customers run oem 155 on his larger motors so he might be able to get you in the ball park.
